Summer 2026
The Journal
Welcome to the latest edition of The Journal.
Travel has always been about more than the places we visit. It's about the moments that stay with us long after we've returned home: discovering a destination by chance, sharing extraordinary experiences with like-minded people, or simply finding the time to slow down and savour where we are.
In this edition, we celebrate that spirit of exploration in all its forms. We wander through the timeless streets of Lisbon, step aboard a beautifully restored classic yacht to discover the Tuscan coastline, and introduce Hideaways Expeditions, an exciting new collection of small-group journeys created exclusively for our Members. Along the way, we explore a new partnership with The Slow Cyclist, discover an exceptional lakeside retreat in Canada, and share how one Member couple has embraced a year of unforgettable travel across the Hideaways portfolio.
Closer to home, we look back on a wonderful season of Member events, welcome a new reciprocal partner into our City Collection, and introduce the continued growth of our Homeowner Programme, now with three homes and a fourth on the way, giving Members an exciting new way to enjoy the Hideaways lifestyle. Together, these developments reflect the partnerships and experiences that continue to expand what it means to be part of The Hideaways Club.
Ancient olive groves, Adriatic swims and the magic of Puglia
Emily Tierney's Member Story
The approach to Masseria L'Olivo sets the tone rather beautifully. A driveway lined with ancient olive trees leads towards the sprawling Masseria, secluded among acres of Puglian countryside.
For Emily, the effect was immediate.
"We were completely blown away. From the moment we drove up the olive tree-lined driveway, there was an over- whelming sense of calm, it felt truly magical."
48 hours in Lisbon
Lisbon is a city that reveals itself gently. It isn't about traipsing landmark-to-landmark, but lingering over coffee in sunlit squares, following the sound of a tram around the next corner, and discovering neighbourhoods where centuries of history sit alongside a new generation of designers, chefs and makers. Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to see a different side of the city, here's how to spend a perfect 48 hours in Lisbon.
Exploring Tuscany aboard NINA Spirit of the Wind
Classic Charters Partnership
A freedom to wake somewhere new each morning, to swim in waters accessible only by boat, to linger over lunch as the afternoon drifts by, and to arrive somewhere beautiful just as the sun begins to set. It is a way of exploring that feels increasingly rare, and one that classic yachts capture better than almost anything else.
MY NINA Spirit of the Wind is a perfect expression of this philosophy, and she is currently available to charter through The Hideaways Club yacht partner, Classic Charters.
The art of the slow journey
A new partnership with The Slow Cyclist
The finest holidays are not measured by how much ground you cover, but by how deeply you experience a place.
That philosophy lies at the heart of a new partnership between The Hideaways Club and The Slow Cyclist. Renowned for creating immersive cycling adventures through some of the world's most endearing landscapes, The Slow Cyclist invites travellers to swap ticking off sights for meaningful exploration. Expect quiet roads, authentic local food, characterful hotels and beautifully planned routes that reveal destinations at their own unhurried pace.
A year as a Member
Here's how 12 months can look with The Hideaways Club
Imagine looking ahead to the next twelve months, knowing every season already has something special waiting. Not because you've booked the same villa again. But, because you have a whole world of homes to choose from.
As Members, David and Anne-Marie are co-owners across The Hideaways Club's portfolio - not renters, and not tied to a single property. Instead of the upkeep, commitment and limitations that come with owning one holiday home, they enjoy the freedom to travel across the portfolio, at around half the cost of renting equivalent villas each year.
Here's what their 2025 looked like, from spring in Puglia to a November escape in Provence, drawing on content from their travel inspiration platform, The Trip Collection.
Into the land of Fire and Ice
A natural evolution of the Hideaways experience
There are journeys that change the way you see a destination. Then there are those that change the way you travel altogether. Introducing Hideaways Expeditions: a new collection of extraordinary, small-group journeys created exclusively for The Hideaways Club members.
Designed around access rather than checklists, these immersive experiences pair great accommodation with expert guides, remarkable encounters and the camaraderie of travelling with like-minded explorers. It is a natural evolution of the Hideaways experience; taking members beyond the front door of our homes and into the heart of some of the world's most extraordinary destinations.
Life at the water’s edge
A DESTINATION M lakeside home in Kelowna, Canada
Set directly on the shores of Okanagan Lake, in Kelowna's sought-after Lower Mission neighbourhood, this is a home that makes the most of its setting. The lake fills the view from the main living spaces, with huge windows drawing the landscape inside and warm stone, timber and relaxed interiors giving the house the easy character of a true lakeside retreat.
A year of memorable events
Raising a glass
This year has seen our events calendar bring our community together through a series of memorable gatherings, from an intimate evening of French wines and conversation at La Compagnie in Covent Garden, to a creative floral workshop with McQueens and a summer gathering in one of Chelsea's most beautiful private garden bars, The Chelsea Gardener.
Wherever your next journey takes you, we hope these stories inspire you to travel a little more deeply, linger a little longer, and perhaps discover somewhere unexpected along the way.
