It is no surprise that the charming village of Dol has protected status on Brač, it is just inland from Postira yetthe 5 minute drive seems to take you to another world...

And here in the village is Kaštil Gospodnetić whose family and chateau date back to the 16th Century. Inrecent years they have opened the doors of their konoba and terrace to offer a magical dining experience.

Start your dining experience with a home made apertif followed by starter of domestic cheese, pršut, anchovies,tuna pate and olive pate with home made bread.

The main course menu is a simple choice between grilled lamb on the spit, meat peka or octopus peka. Peka is atraditional Croatian dish where the meat or octopus and vegetables are slow cooked on charcoals in a hoodedmetal pan.

Homemade wine prepared by the family at the chateau is served with the meal. (A vegetarianoption is also available).And for dessert the family's delicious homemade orange cake is served.

After your meal you are invited by the owner's son to the first floor where 2 rooms have been preserved fromolden times.. He will fascinate you with the history of his family and the chateau.
