Évora
Évora is a UNESCO-listed city in the Alentejo region, about 130 km east of Lisbon (around 1.5 hours by car).
It is known for its Roman Temple, cathedral, and the Chapel of Bones, making it one of the best cultural day trips from Lisbon.
It is also surrounded by excellent wineries in the Alentejo wine region, including Adega Cartuxa near the city, Fitapreta just outside Évora, and Herdade do Esporão about 45 minutes away.
