Chalet Kitsutsuki

Kitsutsuki (meaning woodpecker in Japanese) is a Japanese take on the Alpine chalet style, with a cleaner, sharper aesthetic. The double-height main living area is vast, its sloping wood ceilings and minimalistic style make it appear even more spacious. The enormous windows which frame the magical, snowy landscape, dotted with hauntingly beautiful Japanese white birch trees, though, provide a real "wow" factor to this chalet in Niseko.

Kitsutsuki is an excellent base for exploring all that this popular ski region has to offer. The wide, open, gentle slopes above Annupuri make it especially well suited to beginners and families with young children. Green runs have comforting names such as 'Junior', 'Family' and 'Paradise'. Annupuri has its own ski school or you can organise lessons through your concierge. There's plenty for experts and powderhounds too - in fact, this area offers some of the best snow in the world.

Within just a few minutes from this chalet in Niseko are some of the best restaurants in the region, including the best sushi and the best soba noodles.
