La Pleta
Hidden away on the southeast coast of Mallorca overlooking the coastline dotted with sailing boats, La Pleta is a varied surprise: a traditional villa set in a tranquil village but imbued with a cosmopolitan edge. La Pleta is set in the quiet countryside amidst wheat fields and olive groves, but it is only 15 minutes from the island's beautiful beaches and even closer to the cafés, markets and churches of historic Santanyí, home to an eclectic mix of artists, millionaires, musicians and celebrities. Explore Mallorcan architecture in the old quarter and head over to the plaza and listen to a jazz concert. As a treat, book a ticket on the Palma Soller, an antique train that winds through the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, past almond groves and vineyards, giving you a bird's eye view of the island's fetching landscape.

A miraculous location, absolute tranquillity, and brilliant sunsets. Aleksandra, a marvellous, bright & bubbly Property Manager, made all our reservations, including covid travel tests, with a smile. Right near La Pleta, we went for olive oil tasting at a mill and learnt about the registration process of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). We will go again for sure.

Gran Vista and La Pleta are located on quiet country lanes just outside of Calonge and neighbouring town Santanyi, but nearby is Cala d'Or, one of the liveliest towns on Mallorca's southeast coast.
