Award winning courses on your doorstep

For golf players, it's not just the courses that are important, it's the whole package. Our locations offer the opportunity to play the most challenging rounds on exquisitely manicured greens and beautifully kept bunkers, with the backdrop of stunning scenery and exceptional culinary experiences.

Our residences in South Africa, the Algarve and Mallorca can be a chance to escape for a golf-only break, or a family holiday for those who can bring clubs but can resist the urge to play every day! As ever, our Concierge Service will take care of all your travel planning too, so you can forget about organising transfers, restaurant reservations and booking in for excursions. You can just enjoy the game and then relax with a drink at the 19th hole.

    South Africa - Steenberg

The property is set right on the championship fairway in the Steenberg Estate, the Cape's oldest wine farm in Constantia's magnificent wine valley. The backdrop is of the majestic mountains, rolling vineyards, sandy beaches and the big African sky.

The course meets the challenges of strategically placed sandpits and waterways and the more traditional 'bump and run' in the rough. If you can be persuaded to leave the clubs behind, a drive along the Garden Route, visiting Knysna Elephant Park or the Botanic Gardens makes for an exhilarating day out exploring the wild and rugged landscape of the Southern Cape.

    Algarve

The smell of the pine trees and the view of the lush green woodlands in this sun-drenched corner of the Iberian peninsula is instantly recognisable as the Algarve. The beach is a short distance away, as is the Rio Formosa nature reserve, a unique coastal lagoon, known for its birdwatching.

The prestigious golf course, Vale do Lobo, is famed for its particularly challenging cliff-top carryover on the 16th and as such is one of the most photographed holes in Europe. Visit the fishing village of Olhao to buy sardines for the barbeque and absorb the Moorish-inspired architecture or taste aguardiente, the local brandy brewed in copper stills for a real sense of the Portuguese culture.

    Mallorca

Spain's Moorish heritage is prevalent in the exquisite and intricate architecture from its time under the rule of the North African Muslim people. The Club de Golf Alcanada is recognised as one of the finest courses in Europe with plenty of challenging shots. Set right next to the sea, it's surrounded by pine and olive groves and the iconic lighthouse can be seen from most holes.

Off the course, indulge in a relaxing day swimming in the pretty coves or try the vibrant and lively seaside town of Cala d'Or. A visit to the magnificent, gothic cathedral in the capital, Palma, is only an hour away and you can sample the local produce of apricots and almonds.
