St Tropez
St Tropez is about an hour and a half's drive from Le Rouret, assuming there is no traffic. It is definitely best to set off early in the morning, particularly during the summer months when the area can get very crowded. It's worth spending a whole day exploring this famous and very picturesque village. Every Tuesday and Saturday morning, you'll find a market on the Place des Lices. There are many lovely restaurants to choose from, or you could head straight to the Le Club 55 beach restaurant on the famous Plage de Pampelonne. And while you're in the town, you must try the area's specialty dessert, La Tarte Tropézienne - which was named with the help of Brigitte Bardot in the 1950s.
