"From the evening we arrived, tired and hungry, their hospitality and willingness to take care of our every wish was incredible," Sandra shared.

In mid-March 2025, member Sandra and two girlfriends escaped to the island paradise of Koh Samui, where they spent an unforgettable week at Baan Metta under the care of villa manager Khun Ann and her dedicated team.

Thoughtful Planning, Seamless Stays

Much of the week's flow was set in advance with the help of the Insider Guide and concierge Romyr, who coordinated with Khun Ann to secure reservations at top restaurants, sunset cocktail bars, and private tours.

"This pre-planning ensured that we made the very most of our time on the island," Sandra explained. "But we also built in alternate lazy days of relaxation with regular massages in the open-air shala to the sounds of the sea and the birds."

The week unfolded in a rhythm of busy exploration and laid-back luxury.

Arrival Evening: The group settled in with a three-course dinner prepared by their private chef, Aiw.

Day 1: A leisurely day at the villa followed by sunset cocktails at The Air Bar and a dinner-and-show at Flames Restaurant within the Intercontinental complex.

Day 2: An early boat trip to Angthong National Marine Park for kayaking, sightseeing at Emerald Lake, and a steep climb to an incredible viewpoint-before returning to Baan Metta for dinner by the sea.

Day 3: Sunbathing, swimming, and massages arranged by Khun Ann, capped by dinner at Escape Restaurant on the beach.

Day 4: Despite morning rain, the trio enjoyed a day trip to nearby Koh Phangan once the sun returned.

Day 5: Another restful day followed by sunset cocktails at Cocorum and Lotus Bar at the Four Seasons, and dinner at the resort's Koh Thai Kitchen.

Day 6: A private island tour arranged by Khun Ann revealed ornate temples, giant Buddhas, cascading waterfalls, and pristine beaches, ending with dinner at The Happy Elephant in Bo Phut Fisherman's Village.

Day 7: A final lazy day of massages and a scenic lunch at The Jungle Club, before the Baan Metta team prepared a special seafood dinner featuring freshly caught shrimp.

A Perfect Blend

"We were determined to see as much of Koh Samui as possible but we also wanted to come away feeling completely chilled," Sandra said. "It worked!!"

The week struck a perfect balance of discovery and downtime, thanks to the villa team's care and attention.

"What a busy, lazy, luxurious time we had at Baan Metta," Sandra concluded. "Thank you so much to Covi, Romyr, Khun Ann and the team-we're sure we'll be back one day."
