Festas de Santo António are Lisbon's biggest annual celebrations, held throughout June, with the main highlight on the night of 12-13 June, the eve of the city's patron saint's day.

Neighbourhoods like Alfama, Graça, Mouraria, and Bica transform into street parties (arraiais) filled with decorations, music, grilled sardines, and dancing that lasts late into the night.

Key events include the Marchas Populares parade along Avenida da Liberdade on 12 June, featuring costumes and choreographed performances from each district, and the Noivas de Santo António, a symbolic group wedding tradition known as the "Brides of Saint Anthony."
