About the Property

A magnificent restored farmhouse, Il Bosco overlooks the sprawling Tuscan countryside. The homely façade and rustic interiors vie with the earthy hues of the surrounding land.

On setting foot on the estate of this luxury villa in Tuscany, a grand terrace area comes into view, appended to a large ochre house with cornflower blue doors and shutters. Lounge by the swimming pool and soak up the glorious Tuscan sunshine.

Inside flashes of colour have been introduced throughout the light-flooded rooms, with blue tapestries, blue sofas and striped upholstery. It feels urban and crisp rather than rustic rough-and-ready, although there are traditional touches: a Murano style vase, a bronze urn, a plaster statue bust and an antique painted coffee table.

Play a game of table tennis or take a dip in the pool before heading to the terrace for a homemade pizza. Beyond the villa, there are several places nearby worth visiting. Drive to the historical village of Villamagna, owned by the Renaissance dynasty the Medici Family, and sample their famed wine and olive oil.

Further afield, the bustling towns of Pontassieve, Rosano and Bagno have plenty on offer from some of the region's best restaurants and wineries to charming boutiques and souvenir shops - this luxury home in Tuscany is a foot lover's paradise.

End your day at the Michelin-starred Il Faconiere where the view from the terrace is magnificent: the wide, fertile Chiana valley dotted with vineyards, orchards and distant hills. Here, the food is as good as the view. For those with a sweet tooth, head to San Miniato for a chocolate-making course and learn to make your own bonbons.
