About the Property

Hidden away on the southeast coast of Mallorca overlooking the coastline dotted with sailing boats, La Pleta is a varied surprise: a traditional luxury villa set in a tranquil village but imbued with a cosmopolitan edge. A few minutes away is Santanyí - home to an eclectic group of artists, millionaires and celebrities - which features some of most unspoilt beaches in Mallorca, including Cala Mondrago beach and the National Park.

This honey-hued luxury home with periwinkle shutters is a classic beauty. And with a grand-sized pool, an all-weather tennis court and a terrace and pergola for outdoor dining, there's plenty to do on the estate.

Inside, the sitting room is filled with artwork along the galleried landing, orange throws and russet cushions, and an entrance hall lined with tall arched windows that flood the villa with light. All five bedrooms share the rest of the house's cream and bronze colour scheme.

La Pleta is set in the quiet countryside amidst wheat fields and olive groves, but it is only 15 minutes from the island's beautiful beaches and even closer to the cafés, markets and churches of historic Santanyí. Founded in 1300 by King Jaume II of Mallorca, Santanyí is home to an eclectic mix of artists, millionaires, musicians and celebrities. Wander into an art gallery or an arts and crafts boutique. Then explore Mallorcan architecture in the old quarter. For an evening out, head over to the plaza and listen to a jazz concert. As a treat, book a ticket on the Palma Soller, an antique train that winds through the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, past almond groves and vineyards, giving you a bird's eye view of the island's fetching landscape.

Gran Vista and La Pleta are located on quiet country lanes just outside of Calonge and neighbouring town Santanyi, but nearby is Cala d'Or, one of the liveliest towns on Mallorca's southeast coast.
