St John is the smallest of the three US Virgin Islands, but also the most exclusive. Two-thirds of the island is a protected national park, which lends itself to some incredible hiking and sightseeing of sugar plantations from decades past. St John is best known for various beaches like Trunk Bay (consistently rated in the Top 10 in the world by most publications) and others like Cinnamon and Caneel Bays' which are just as beautiful and often less crowded. If you're feeling adventurous, there are several beaches, such as Waterlemon and Honeymoon Bays', which require a good hike; the effort is definitely worthwhile.
